Dear Students,
Due to the major winter storm that has blanketed the region, we anticipate a number of our men's basketball season ticket holders will not be able to make it to today's game against North Carolina at 2 p.m. As a result, we would like to invite students to help us fill the Comcast Center with our signature energy and enthusiasm.
We will allow students who do not currently have a ticket for the North Carolina game to show their student ID at the student gate (Gate E) and gain admission into the game on a space-available basis. Students without a ticket will be admitted to the Comcast Center beginning at 1:45 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, as directed by our gameday staff. We will accommodate as many students as possible while seats remain, however, we cannot guarantee admission at this time. We also ask that students admitted without a ticket be prepared to respectfully relocate to another vacant seat should the rightful ticketholder to your seat show up to the game.
All students who had already claimed a ticket for Sunday's game will be allowed to enter the student gate beginning at 12:30 p.m. Timed-entry and scanning will be turned off and students will need to bring their ticket and ID for admission. We will automatically give all students who had already claimed a ticket two loyalty points for the game.
Due to the unprecedented weather conditions, the University of Maryland encourages fans to carefully evaluate treacherous travel conditions before driving to campus and to consider other options. While University crews are working around-the-clock shifts to have roads, sidewalks, steps and parking lots cleared, it should be anticipated that large portions of gameday parking lots and sidewalks will be snow-covered due to the historic blizzard and many garage spots will be occupied by on-campus resident students.
We look forward to seeing and hearing you at the game!
Go Terps,
Coach Williams
