Kiani Profit notched the fastest 400-meter hurdles time in school history at the 2010 ECAC/IC4A Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday. Her blistering mark of 57.35 earned the star junior second place in the finals.
Profit had a busy day, competing in four events. The junior, from Pasadena, Ca, took seventh place in the finals of the 100-meter hurdles with a mark of 13.93. Profit teamed up with Arielle Statham, Alexis Booker and DeAnna Brown in the 4x100-meter relay, earning eighth place at 46.51. Profit finished her day with the high jump, placing tenth with a mark of 5-05.
On the field, freshman Moriah Young celebrated an eighth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 45-10.50.
In IC4A competition, senior Greg Kelsey placed ninth in the 1,500 with a mark of 3:51.90.
Maryland finished fourteenth overall in ECAC competition with 23 points. The Terrapins look forward to the NCAA East Regional competition held in Greensboro, N.C., on Friday May 28, 2010.
