First Day Results 
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -
The Maryland men's golf team carded a 2-under 286 in the second round of The Invitational at the par-72, 7,504-yard Ocean Course Monday to move into sole possession of third place with a 580. Four Terps are in the top-25 after two rounds of play with two in the top-10.
At the end of the first day, freshman Jordan Sweet and senior Sean Brannan are both in the top-10. Sweet opened the tournament with an even-par 72 and carded a 1-under 71 to finish tied for sixth. Brannan fired an even-par 72 in each round to tie for ninth.
Senior Joey Rice and sophomore Will Wiseman rounded out the Terps in the top-25. Rice rebounded from an opening round 75 to card a 2-under 70 to tie for 11th. Wiseman is in a tie for 22nd after also shooting a first round 75. The Salisbury, Md., native finished the day with a 1-over 73.
Sophomore Sean Bosdosh and freshman Ben Warnquist are tied for 45th and 57th, respectively.
Warnquist will be the first Terrapin to tee off Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. followed by the rest of the team.
Florida is in first place with a 9-under 567 (291-276) and lead second place UAB by 10 strokes. Tyler McCumber of Florida leads the individual competition with a 7-under 137 (69-68).
