POWELLS POINT, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team sits in a tie for ninth after two rounds of play Monday at the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate at Kilmarlic Golf Club. Freshman Jordan Sweet will start the final round tied for 26th.

Sweet carded a 3-over 75 in the second round for a total of 147. Senior Sean Brannan is one stroke behind Sweet. Brannan had the best round of the day for the Terps with a 1-over 73 to move him into a tie for 33rd with a 148.

Senior Joey Rice is tied for 51st with a 150 along with sophomores Sean Bosdosh and Will Wiseman.

The final round begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Liberty leads Georgia by one stroke in the team competition, and Georgia's T.J. Mitchell leads all individuals.
