Terps Tie for Eighth at ODU/OBX Collegiate

POWELLS POINT, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team concluded the fall season Tuesday in a tie for eighth with a score of 883 (288-301-294) at the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Collegiate at Kilmarlic Golf Club. Seniors Sean Brannan and Joey Rice completed the third round under par to lead the Terps.

Brannan and Rice both carded a 1-under 71 in the final round. Brannan completed the three-day event with a score of 219 (75-73-71) to finish tied for 23rd, and Rice finished with a 221 (70-80-71) to tie for 33rd.

Freshman Jordan Sweet finished one stroke behind Rice. The Bowie, Md., native shot a 3-over 75 to finish the tournament in a tie for 37th with a 222 (72-75-75).

Sophomores Sean Bosdosh and Will Wiseman tied for 55th with a score of 227.

Georgia captured the team championship with a score 834 (271-287-276) while the Bulldogs' T.J. Mitchell won the individual title with a 201 (64-70-67).
