Round 2 Results

Freshman Juliet Vongphoumy tied her low 18-hole score of the season by carding a 2-over 74 to place her in a tie for sixth after two rounds Monday at the UNCG/Starmount Fall Classic at Starmount Country Club. Maryland is second with a 611 (303-308), five strokes behind leader East Tennessee State.
Vongphoumy's two-round total of 150 (76-74) is two strokes better than fellow Terp junior Christine Shimel. Shimel fired a 5-over 77 to finish tied for 10th with a 152.
Senior Jessica Hollandsworth rounded out the top 15 for the Terps. Hollandsworth sits in a tie for 13th after shooting a 7-over 79 for a two-day total of 153.
Junior Hayley Brown and freshman Emily Gimpel are tied for 31st with a 158. Brown carded a 6-over 78 in the second round while Gimpel finished with an 80.
The third and final round is Tuesday. Maryland is scheduled to tee off at 10 a.m.
Georgia State's Charlotte Lorentzen leads the individual competition with a 144 (75-69).
