COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Juniors Ryan Donohue and Gary Douglas will leave the Maryland football program, head coach Randy Edsall announced Tuesday.
Donohue played in 20 career games as a reserve linebacker and special teams performer. The native of Montvale, N.J., posted 12 career tackles, one interception (returned 25 yards for a touchdown vs. Wake Forest on Oct. 30, 2010) and one fumble recovery.
Douglas played in 12 career games as a backup running back. He played in just two games last season, missing seven contests due to injury. A native of Durham, N.C., Douglas had 18 career rushes for 89 yards. He also had six receptions for 78 yards.
In addition, Haroon Brown will not play for the Terps in the fall. The senior fullback is scheduled to graduate this summer.
Brown played in 29 career games, including three starts. Utilized mostly as a blocker and special teams player, the native of Hampton, Va., caught three passes for 31 yards and had one rush for 4 yards.
The Terps, who open preseason camp on Aug. 9, will return 13 starters (six on offense/seven on defense) from last season's 9-4 squad.
