Six former Maryland players - Lance Ball, Vernon Davis, Torrey Smith, Da'Rel Scott, LaQuan Williams and Madieu Williams - will be in action this weekend during the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
At least one Terp will be playing in each of the four playoff games.
Smith and LaQuan Williams are both rookies for the Baltimore Ravens who will face the Houston Texans on Sunday (1 p.m. EST on CBS).
Smith posted 50 receptions for 841 receiving yards (16.8 yards per catch) during the regular season. His receiving yards total is third in the NFL among rookies and his catches rank fifth.
Smith also had seven touchdown receptions, including a 74-yard touchdown vs. St. Louis, the longest by the Ravens during the season.
Williams played in 12 games for the Ravens, seeing most of his time on special teams. He had four catches for 46 yards.
Ball is the third-leading rusher (402 yards on 96 carries) for the Denver Broncos who face the New England Patriots on Saturday (8 p.m. on CBS). The third-year player also has 16 receptions for 148 yards.
The San Francisco 49ers will take on the New Orleans Saints Saturday (4:30 p.m. on FOX) with a pair of former Terps on the roster.
Davis posted 67 receptions for 792 receiving yards during the regular season. Both marks rank among the top 10 among NFL tight ends.
Madieu Williams is a reserve free safety for the 49ers. The eighth-year player had nine tackles on the season.
Scott is a rookie running back for the NY Giants who play at Green Bay Sunday (4:30 p.m. on FOX). He played in 11 games, mostly on special teams, and rushed five times for 16 yards.
Domonique Foxworth is a defensive back for the Ravens, but he was placed on the injured reserve list earlier this season.
