Final Results
GEORGETOWN, S.C. -
Sophomore Sean Bosdosh and freshman Ben Warnquist finished in a tie for 21st to pace the Maryland men's golf team Monday at the General Hackler Championship at the DeBordieu Club. After three rounds of play, the Terps scored a 907 (71-75-77) to finish 11th.
Warnquist, who tied with Bosdosh to lead the tournament in par-3 scoring (2.83), entered the final round in 31st place, but used 1-over 72, his lowest round of the spring, to climb 10 spots on the leaderboard and finish with 223 (76-75-72). Bosdosh completed the third round with a 6-over 77 to finish the tournament with a spring 54-hole low of 223 (71-75-77).
In his first event of the spring, senior Sean Brannan carded a 4-over 75 to tie for 35th. Brannan completed the tournament with a 226 (77-74-75).
Freshman Jordan Sweet fired an 8-over 79 to finish in a tie for 60th with a 235 (80-76-79), and senior Joey Rice finished in 74th place with a 242 (82-76-84).
North Florida swept top honors. The Ospreys won the team title with an 872 (300-282-290), while Sean Dale won the individual championship with a 212 (69-70-73).
The Terps will have the week off and return to action Sunday, March 25 at The Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Charleston, S.C.
