The Terrapin Club is launching a new website (www.TerrapinClub.com) with the goal of providing enhanced communication and customer service to the more than 8,700 members of the organization, associate athletics director J Batt said Thursday.
"Our mission in creating the new TerrapinClub.com site was to give donors a dynamic interface with increased access to important information," Batt said. "We wanted to help our folks better understand why their gifts are so important while also providing increased connection to the Terrapin Club."
The new site has a number of enhancements members will see immediately. The new layout will provide a vibrant look and easy navigation. Fans will be able to stay in touch with news about the Terrapins and about the organization, as well as staying up to date on their membership account.
"I believe we've raised the bar with the new TerrapinClub.com. We will now utilize this website as a communication and customer-service platform for all of our donors to inspire support to our student-athletes through gifts to the Terrapin Club." Batt said.
Enhancements to www.TerrapinClub.com include:
More interactive news about the organization and about the Terps
A central location for all membership, communication and ways to get involved
A single sign-on for account access for membership and donation, Terpoint access and Terpoint calculators to project rankings and to purchase tickets
An events calendar with online event RSVPs and registration
Enhanced contact with Terrapin Club staff.
The Terrapin Club is the University of Maryland's athletics booster group. Donations raised by the Terrapin Club are used directly to provide scholarships for Maryland's student-athletes in all sports.
