Terps in 10th After Day One at the Hootie

AWENDAW, S.C. - The Maryland men's golf team fired its lowest round of the spring with an 8-over 293 to finish 10th after the first round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at the Bulls Bay Golf Club on Sunday. Second round action will commence tomorrow morning.

Senior Sean Brannan and freshmen Jordan Sweet and Ben Warnquist all carded 1-over 73s to tie for 25th. For Brannan, it is his lowest round of the spring.

Senior Joey Rice is in a tie for 39th after shooting a 2-over 74 and sophomore Sean Bosdosh is tied for 49th after firing a 3-over 75.

Kentucky and Auburn are tied for first place after the opening round with a 3-under 285. Virginia's Ji Soo Park leads the field with a 3-under 69.
