Brannan Climbs the Leaderboard at the Hootie

AWENDAW, S.C. - Senior Sean Brannan carded a season-low 71 in the second round to move into a tie for 18th at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at Bulls Bay Golf Club Tuesday. The Maryland men's golf team is tied for 11th with a 592 (2293-299) heading into Tuesday's final round.

Brannan was the Terps' low scorer on Tuesday and has fired an even-par 144 (73-71) over the two days. Senior Joey Rice is tied for 43rd with a 4-over 148 (74-74).

Sophomore Sean Bosdosh and freshmen Jordan Sweet and Ben Warnquist are tied for 58th with a 151. Bosdosh carded the lowest round of the three golfers Tuesday with a 4-over 76. Sweet and Warnquist each fired a 78.

Maryland tees off starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Auburn took over the lead with a second-round 275. The Tigers lead Kentucky and Texas A&M by seven strokes. The Aggies Cameron Peck leads the tournament with a 7-under 137 (70-67).
