ACC Championships Central | Second Round Results | Third Round Pairings

Senior Joey Rice carded a season-low 3-under 69 Saturday to move into a tie for 13th after the second round at the ACC Championship at Old North State Club. With three Terrapins in the top 20, the Maryland men's golf team is tied for seventh with a 6-under 570 (287-283). The Terps' second round 283 is Maryland's lowest round of the spring and is tied for the lowest round of the year.
Rice led all Maryland golfers as he climbed five spots on the leaderboard. After two rounds of play, the Dunkirk, Md., native is tied for 13th with a 4-under 140 (71-69) and is only three strokes outside the top 5.
Sophomore Sean Bosdosh and freshman Ben Warnquist each carded a 1-under 71 on Saturday. After scoring his season low yesterday, Bosdosh moved to 3-under for the tournament and is tied for 16th. Warnquist remained consistent with his second consecutive 71. The Rockville, Md., native is tied for 19th at 2-under.
Freshman Jordan Sweet bounced back from an opening round 75 and fired an even-par 72. Sweet is tied for 43rd with a 3-over 147 (75-72).
Senior Sean Brannan is tied for 54th with a 157 (79-78).
Georgia Tech extended its lead in the second round. The Yellow Jackets are 11 strokes ahead of second-place Virginia with a 32-under 544 (270-274). Richy Werenski of Georgia Tech is in first place with a 9-under 135 (69-66).
The Terps are a mere five strokes outside the top 5 heading into the final round on Sunday. Action begins at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow with the Terrapins teeing off starting at 9:10 a.m. Live scoring is available through TheACC.com with a live webcast beginning at 1:30 p.m.
