Terps Finish 10th at ACC Championship

NEW LONDON, N.C. - Three Terps recorded their best rounds of the spring season Sunday as the Maryland men's golf team wrapped up play at the ACC Championship at Old North State Club. The Terps completed the competition in 10th place with a 13-over 877 (287-283-307). It is Maryland's fourth best score in the last 10 years at the conference's championship event all of which were hosted by Old North State Club.

Sophomore Sean Bosdosh, senior Joey Rice and freshman Ben Warnquist all finished the tournament with season-low scores. Bosdosh led all Maryland golfers with a 1-under 215 (70-71-74) and carded a 2-over 74 on Sunday to finish tied for 16th.

Rice finished with a 2-over 218 (71-69-78) which is his lowest score in three trips to the ACC Tournament. The Dunkirk, Md., native tied for 27th. Warnquist tied for 29th with a 3-over 219 (71-71-77).

Freshman Jordan Sweet tied for 45th with a 9-over 225 (75-72-78) and senior Sean Brannan carded a 236 (79-78-79) to place 54th.

Georgia Tech won its fourth consecutive conference title. The Yellow Jackets finished seven strokes ahead of second-place Virginia. The Cavaliers' Ben Rusch won the individual championship after shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round.
