Maryland's Seth Allen has been selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Allen provided the winning points in Saturday's 83-81 victory over No. 2 Duke when he broke a tie with a pair of free throws with 2.8 seconds remaining.
The Woodbridge, Va., freshman scored all 16 of his points in the second half, and had five of Maryland's last six points down the stretch. Allen made 7-of-8 free throws in the game while adding two steals, a block and an assist.
North Carolina's P.J. Hairston and NC State's Scott Wood shared co-ACC Player of the Week honors.
