Terrapin Club President Hosts Barbeque

April 20, 2013

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Terrapin Club President Colin Potts hosted a barbecue for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Friday.

"This is a thank you to the staff for all their hard work and dedication," said Potts. "We appreciate all the long hours and commitment the ICA staff dedicated to supporting our student-athletes. It's important to recognize everything they do. We believe in creating a culture that recognizes those who work behind the scenes and represent Maryland Athletics."

Potts is this year's Terrapin Club president, but he has been a member of the organization for more than 20 years.

Potts and the Terrapin Club board members barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken for the ICA staff at Heritage Hall in Comcast Center. The event was moved inside due to weather.

The barbecue was scheduled to be a tailgate for the baseball game against Virginia Tech. The game was rescheduled to Saturday at 2 p.m.
