Adrian Rawn is in his first season as assistant coach at the University of Maryland. He joins the Terps after spending the last year as the assistant men's water polo coach at Johns Hopkins.
Rawn was a four-year high school All-American in both swimming and water polo at Greenwich High School in Greenwich, Conn. He won the gold at the 2000 Pan-American Games in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, as a member of the 21-and-Under U.S. National Team.
Rawn was a four-year starter for the Naval Academy from 1999-2003, and he played under Maryland head coach Carl Salyer, who was an assistant with the Midshipmen at the time. He helped lead the team to the Final Four in 2000, and he was named All-East First Team from 2000-2003. Rawn was also a member of the Navy varsity swim team for two years.
Rawn spent his summers from 1998-2001 as the swimming and water polo coach at Innis Arden Golf Club in Greenwich, Conn. From 2001-2003, he was a spring water polo coach for U.S. Naval Academy Clinics in Annapolis.
Rawn earned his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Maryland in 2004, and he is currently seeking his Masters in curriculum and instruction.
