Terps Defeats Melbourne in Exhibition Action
COLLEGE PARK, Md.-- Maryland senior forward Keith Booth
scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Terps to an easy 97-81
exhibition victory over the Melbourne Tigers at Cole Field
House. Booth converted on nine of ten shots from the floor,
including eight dunks.
Terp center Obinna Ekezie also posted a career-high 23 points in
24 minutes of play. Andrew Gaze, the former Washington Bullet,
led the Tigers with 19 points while playing the entire 40
minutes. Gaze's father, Lindsay, serves as Melbourne's head
coach.
Maryland plays host to Court Authority Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 8:00
p.m. at home for its second and final exhibition of the season.
The Terps season opener is slated for Tuesday, November 26 at
8:00 p.m. in Cole.
