No. 9 Maryland Meets No. 13 Rutgers

Teams Battle in NCAA First Round

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The ninth-ranked University of Maryland Terrapin men's soccer team travels to Piscataway, N.J. this weekend to meet the 13th-ranked Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Rutgers defeated St. John's in the Big East Championship game yesterday, and enter Sunday afternoon's matchup with a 13-6-3 overall record.

Maryland, the fourth-seed in last weekend's Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, advanced to the championship game after defeating Clemson and the No. 1-seeded Duke Blue Devils. The Terps dropped a 2-0 decision to the second-seeded Virginia Cavaliers yesterday.

Maryland enters Sunday's match with a 15-5-1 overall record. The game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
