The Maryland men's soccer team landed at No. 2 on the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men's National Preseason Rankings, announced Tuesday.
Maryland, which led the nation in winning percentage a year ago, follows 2012 national champion Indiana and is joined in the top five by Georgetown, North Carolina and Connecticut, respectively.
The Terps return eight starters - including MAC Hermann Trophy winner Patrick Mullins - from last year's squad which advanced to the College Cup and won both the ACC regular season and tournament championship.
