GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior Shannon Bustillos has been named to the 2014 All-ACC Academic Softball team, as announced today by Commissioner John Swofford.

Bustillos earned the all-academic team nod for the third consecutive season, becoming just the second student-athlete in Maryland history to achieve the feat. She has the chance to become the first four-timer in program history next season.

A criminology and criminal justice major from Anaheim, Calif., Bustillos earned a 3.85 GPA this past semester to boost her cumulative GPA to 3.57.

Bustillos started 43 games in 2014, leading the team in seven offensive categories, including batting average (.336), doubles (12), home runs (5), RBIs (33), total bases (73), slugging (.584) and OBP (.430).
