COLLEGE PARK, Md - The Kids Play USA Foundation is set to host their Annual Fest in Support of Youth Sports, Saturday Sept. 20 at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park. The evening will feature food, fun, and an opportunity to socialize with business, political and community leaders.
The Kids Play USA Foundation, founded by Darryl Hill, aims to help foster a healthier lifestyle for Maryland youth through participation in sports and activity as well as assisting in removing financial barriers associated with youth sports to provide and encourage equal opportunity in organized youth sports.
A University of Maryland graduate, Darryl Hill broke racial barriers in college football. A letterman in 1963, Hill became the first African-American football player to play for the University of Maryland as well as the in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Junior Champions Tennis Center is the home of the Maryland women's tennis team.
Tickets for the event are $45 for an adult, $20 for children and $300 for a table of eight and can be purchased here.
