Maryland Turns Back Clock vs. Indiana Wednesday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's basketball program will turn back the clock tonight as they host the Indiana Hoosiers for Throwback Night at XFINITY Center at 9 p.m.

“We are excited to turn back the clock to a memorable time in our men's basketball program's history,” Kelly Mehrtens, Maryland deputy director of athletics/chief operating officer, said. “ It will be an exciting atmosphere tonight at XFINITY Center and we are encouraging students to arrive early to enjoy the game and secure their seats for the remaining home games.”

Maryland captured its first national championship against Indiana in 2002. As part of the events surrounding tonight's home game, Maryland will turn back time with a variety of exciting promotions.

  • Concession pricing on soda and hot dogs will turn back to 2002 prices - Soda: $3.00 and Hot Dogs: $2.50.
  • Fans are encouraged to wear throwback Terps gear
  • Fans can look forward to hearing throwback music from 2002.
  • The Cheer and Dance teams will be performing to throwback tunes and will wear classic uniforms.

Tickets still remain for tonight's contest at XFINITY Center for the general public starting at $45.

A limited number of additional seats have been released for Maryland students. Students are encouraged to not only claim their tickets for the Indiana game, but earn their loyalty points by attending the game. The Wisconsin game is anticipated to head to a lottery, with students who have earned the most loyalty points having the best chance of receiving a ticket. Tonight's game is the final opportunity to earn points that would be applicable toward the Wisconsin game ticket allocation on Feb. 24.
