Trimble Tabbed USBWA Freshman All-American

ST. LOUIS - Melo Trimble has been named to the United States Basketball Writers Association Freshman All-America team.

Trimble leads Maryland (27-6) with a team-high 16.3 points per game, a mark that ranks fifth in the Big Ten Conference. He also paces the Terps in double-figure scoring games (30), 20-plus point performances (10), free throws made (199), assists (102), and steals (41).

Duke center Jahlil Okafor captured the 2015 Integris Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year Award.
