Assistant Equipment Manager

The Assistant Equipment Manager will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Gossett Equipment Room designed to serve the needs of the football and oversee two of the varsity teams within the department of intercollegiate athletics. This position will be responsible for all ordering, budgeting, issuing, collecting, maintaining, and recording all information in regards to equipment in accordance with all University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, experience, and training required. At least 2 years of experience in an athletic equipment unit or related environment, preferably at the Intercollegiate Athletic Division I level. Certification by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of start date required. Proven ability to manage and complete multiple projects in a timely manner; ability to fit and repair protective equipment, strong organizational skills. Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and ACS Inventory System is preferred. Knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations concerning equipment purchase, issuance, retrieval, and disposal preferred.
