Maryland to Host Princeton in Baltimore

COLLEGE PARK, Md.  – The Maryland men's basketball team will play Princeton on Dec. 19, 2015 at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore.

Maryland, which captured a school-record 26 wins during the regular season in 2014-15, will battle Princeton for the second time in Baltimore. The two programs met at the Baltimore Arena in 1998, with the Terps winning, 81-58.

“We are really excited about the opportunity to play a regular season home game in Baltimore,” head coach Mark Turgeon said. “Since I became the head coach at Maryland, we have received tremendous support from the city and the fans and we are thrilled to bring this game into their backyard. I know our team will feed off the energy and the atmosphere at Royal Farms Arena. I want to thank our staff and administration, especially Nima Omidvar and Troy Wainwright for spearheading the efforts into making this game a reality.”

Maryland is 5-3 all-time against the Tigers, including four-straight wins. The Terps defeated Princeton 61-53 on Dec. 2, 2001 at the BB&T Classic in Washington, D.C., in the last meeting between the two teams.

The Terps are 9-2 all-time in Baltimore, including an 83-65 win against Iowa on Nov. 30, 1999 - the last time Maryland played in Charm City.

Tickets are on sale and prices range from $25-$55.  All seating will be allocated based on Terpoint Priority. For further ticket information, please click here.
