COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland football defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson has been added to the 2016 Reese's Senior Bowl roster as a fourth-year junior graduate.
Jefferson will join teammate Sean Davis representing the Terps at the annual game, set to take place on Jan. 30, 2016 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. It can be seen live on the NFL Network at 2:30 p.m.
Jefferson, a 2015 Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection, started all 12 games on the defensive line for the Terps. He ranked among the Top 20 players in the Big Ten with 12.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He also posted 39 tackles, an interception, blocked kick, forced fumble and fumble recovery on the year.
Davis accepted his senior bowl bid in November. The cornerback led the Terps and ranked second in the Big Ten with five forced fumbles. He also ranked second on the team and 17th in the Big Ten with 7.3 tackles per game.
The Senior Bowl is the nation's most unique football game and football's premier senior showcase event. It annually features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South that are coached by the entire coaching staffs of two NFL teams.
