• Diamond Stone (22 points, 11 rebounds) and Jake Layman (18 points, 10 rebounds) both posted double-doubles at Michigan on Jan. 12, the first time two players have notched double-doubles in points and rebounds in a single game since Jordan Williams (15 points, 13 rebounds) and Dino Gregory (10 points, 10 rebounds) did so against Illinois, on Nov. 19, 2010. The Terps have boasted seven double-doubles by four different players through 17 games this season, led by three from Stone. Maryland had eight all season in 2014-15. Stone has scored in double-figures 10 consecutive games and in 12 of his past 13 contests.
• Melo Trimble was named to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top-25 on Jan. 13. Chosen by a preseason poll of national college basketball experts, the list is comprised of 25 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for college basketball's most prestigious individual honor. Trimble, the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year, leads the Terps in scoring (14.1 ppg), assists (5.5 apg), steals (23) and free throw percentage (.870). Trimble has scored 20 or more points in five games this season and racked up 10 or more assists in two.
• Maryland is 8-0 following a loss the past two seasons. The last time the Terps lost back-to-back games was against Syracuse and Clemson on Feb. 24 and March 2, respectively, in the 2013-14 campaign.
• The Terps (15-2) stayed at No. 3 in the Associated Press and USA Today Top 25 after recording wins over Rutgers and Wisconsin last week. Maryland has been ranked in the AP Top 25 for 26 straight weeks.

• Ohio State defeated Rutgers, 94-68, its last time out with the help of a triple-double from freshman JaQuan Lyle.
• The Buckeyes are led by Marc Loving, who is averaging 14.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Ohio State has four players averaging double-figure scoring.
• The Terps fell to Ohio State last season in Columbus in the lone meeting between the two programs as members of the Big Ten Conference and trail in the all-time series, 5-2. The Buckeyes have won three straight in the series, which dates back to 1934.
