COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland men's soccer head coach Sasho Cirovski has announced former University of Virginia standout Jake Rozhansky has transferred to the program, effective immediately.
Rozhansky – a native of Germantown, Md. - played two seasons in Charlottesville, earned second team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors as a sophomore. The midfielder recorded a team-high four goals in 2015. As a rookie in 2014, Rozhansky was named to the NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team after helping guide the Cavaliers to the national title.
"Jake is an extremely talented soccer player," Cirovski said. "He fits very much into the mold of how we play. We're happy he selected to continue his career at Maryland."
Additionally, Rozhansky boasts national team experience, after being called on to both U17 and U20 men's national teams.
Rozhansky – who graduated from Montgomery Blair High School and played center midfield for Bethesda Olney Academy - is enrolled in classes on campus this spring.
