COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's basketball team hosts Oklahoma State for a Blackout at XFINITY Center on Saturday at 9 p.m.

storylines

• Maryland will continue a five-game homestand Saturday when it hosts Oklahoma State for a Blackout at XFINITY.

• With a game-high five assists in a loss to Pitt last time out on Tuesday, junior guard Melo Trimble became the 21st Terrapin to register 300 career dimes at Maryland. The Upper Marlboro, Md., native and reigning Big Ten Co-Player of the Week needs three assists to crack the top 20 all-time and tie Maryland legend Albert King (1977-81) with 304. With one more made three-point field goal, Trimble (135) will tie Sarunas Jasikevicius (1994-98) for 10th all-time in career three-point FGs.

• The Terps have started the last three seasons on a tear, racking up a 7-1 record in each season through eight games. Maryland was 14-1 to begin the 2014-15 campaign and 15-1 to kick off the 2015-16 season.

• Maryland's loss at home to Pitt was a rarity in the Mark Turgeon era. The Terps are a staggering 81-14 (.853) at XFINITY Center the past six seasons, including a 38-3 mark (.927) the past three seasons.

• Maryland's bench outscored Kansas State and Pitt by a combined 41-9, in large part due to the production of junior center Michal Cekovsky. Cekovsky posted 16 points against KSU and 10 against Pitt. He missed the first four games with a right foot sprain before making his regular season debut with 11 points in a 77-63 win over Stony Brook (11/22).

• Maryland defeated Oklahoma State in Stillwater on Dec. 21, 2014 in the last meeting between the two programs. Then-freshmen Melo Trimble and Jared Nickens had 16 and 11 points, respectively in the 73-64 victory. The Terps are 2-0 in the series, including a 50-49 win at the Memphis Invitational on Dec. 16, 1966.
