COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's basketball team travels up I-95 for a battle with Charlotte on Tuesday at Royal Farms Arena in downtown Baltimore.

• Melo Trimble staged an impressive shooting display to score 23 points, and Maryland breezed past Jacksonville State 92-66 on Dec. 12 for its fourth straight victory its last time out.
• Michal Cekovsky scored 15 and freshman Justin Jackson had 12 points and six rebounds for the Terrapins (11-1), who took control late in the first half and received little resistance over the final 20 minutes. Ivan Bender added a career-high 10 points and Dion Wiley chipped in with 13 as the Terps had six players in double figures for the first time since Feb. 2, 2013 versus Wake Forest.
• With his 23-point outing versus Jacksonville State, Melo Trimble now has six games of 20 or more points this season. He went 7-for-7 from the charity stripe against the Gamecocks, giving him 430 career made free throws, passing Terrapin legend Juan Dixon for sixth all-time. He needs just two to pass Lonnie Baxter for sole possession of fifth all-time. Maryland is 30-4 when Trimble gets to the line at least seven times.
• This is Maryland's 13th trip to Baltimore in program history. The Terps are 10-2 all-time in the Charm City, including a streak of six consecutive wins. his will be the second consecutive season that Maryland has played a game in Baltimore. The Terps defeated Princeton, 82-61, in front of more than 11,000 fans last December.
• Maryland is 3-0 all-time against Charlotte, with its last win coming on Jan. 3, 2009 in College Park, 85-75.
• December 20 marks the 38th anniversary of former Maryland great Ernie Graham's school-record 44-point performance in a 124-110 win over then-No. 4 NC State. Graham ranks 13th on Maryland's career scoring list with 1,607 points. He and his son and former Terp, Jon, will serve as Honorary Captains for the game against Charlotte.
• The Terps have started the last three seasons on a tear, racking up an 11-1 record in each season through 12 games. Maryland was 14-1 to begin the 2014-15 campaign and 15-1 to kick off the 2015-16 season. The Terps are 67-17 over the last two-plus seasons.
