• Thursday's matchup with Illinois will be the XFINITY Center finale for seniors Jake Layman, Varun Ram, Trevor Anzmann and Rasheed Sulaimon.
• Layman is one of only 28 players in Maryland history to record 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. He is 24th in scoring (1,329) and 23rd in rebounding (638) in Terrapin all-time annals. He is also ninth all-time in games played (134). Layman's first points as a Terrapin came on a three-pointer against then-No. 1 Kentucky on Nov. 9, 2012 in Brooklyn.
• The Terps have been ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 for 33 straight weeks and the USA Today Top 25 for 34.
• Maryland is 33-2 in College Park over the past two seasons, including a 15-1 mark in 2015-16. The Terps are fifth nationally and first in the Big Ten Conference in average attendance this season (17,858 per game).
• Sophomore guard Melo Trimble is 20 points away from 1,000 career points at Maryland. The Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year has 151 assists this season, 45 more than he distributed as a rookie in 2014-15. The Upper Marlboro, Md., native's 151 dimes are the most for a Terrapin in a single season since Bob Cousy Award winner and current guard for the Milwaukee Bucks Greivis Vasquez dished 208 in 2009-10. He is one of only 12 Terrapins to record 150 or more assists in a single season.
• Freshman Diamond Stone has scored in double figures in seven consecutive games, averaging 13.3 points per contest during that span. He boasts at least one block in 11 of his last 12 games and is averaging 3.2 blocks per game over the last six games. Maryland leads the Big Ten and is ranked sixth in the nation in blocked shots per game (5.8).
