COLLEGE PARK, Md. – University of Maryland center Brendan Moore has been named to the 2016 Rimington Trophy Spring Watch List. The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I college football.
Moore saw action in seven games during his red-shirt freshman season in 2015. He backed up senior center Evan Mulrooney, while also contributing at both guard spots during the year. Moore started at left guard in Maryland's season-finale win at Rutgers. The Terps finished with 401 yards rushing and had 656 yards in total offense in that game.
The winner will be recognized at the Rimington Trophy Presentation at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017.
