EUGENE, Ore. –Senior Tom Harris and sophomore David Kocher of the Maryland men's golf team were both named to the Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team over the weekend. The duo are two of the top 25 golfers in the Northeast Region.

This is the second straight year Kocher has earned a PING Division I All-Region honor and the first for Harris.

The duo finished the season earlier this month at NCAA Regionals at the Ol' Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Kocher finished in the top 25 in the Tuscaloosa Regional. He earned a combined score of 220 (75-69-76), which was four over par total. Harris finished with a combined score of 237 (81-79-77).

Kocher finished tied for sixth in the Big Ten Tournament last month and was named to the All-Big Ten First Team. Kocher finished in the top 10 at seven of the Terrapins' 11 tournaments this season and won the individual title at the Firestone Invitational in the fall.

Harris has five top 20 finishes this season. He played in all but one tournament over his four-year career at Maryland. He earned his first career collegiate individual win at the Janney VCU Shootout in September. He tied for first at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in April.

The Terrapins earned their first team win since 2010 this season. They also finished third in the Big Ten Tournament last month for their highest conference tournament finish in 30 years.
