COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland volleyball team kicks off the 2016 season with the Terps' annual Red-White Scrimmage next Saturday, August 20 at 7 p.m. in the XFINITY Center Pavilion.
Fans are invited to enjoy appetizers and drinks in Heritage Hall prior to the scrimmage at 5:30 p.m., followed by a meet and greet with the team at 6 p.m. To RSVP for the event, visit ter.ps/VBredwhite.
The Red-White Scrimmage is the first opportunity for fans to get the 2016 volleyball poster series. The team will be available for autographs following the scrimmage.
The Terps enter their third season under head coach Steve Aird. Maryland returns an experienced corps of players, including senior middle blocker Ashlyn MacGregor and senior setter Whitney Craigo. The Red-White Scrimmage will be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2016 freshman class, which ranked No. 16 nationally and includes Nell Drummey, Megan McTigue, Gia Milana, Katie Myers, Aylin Saran and Taylor Smith.
