Terps of Tomorrow to Attend Maryland-Purdue Game

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Garrett A. Turner Foundation will be launching a new pilot program at the University of Maryland called Terps of Tomorrow.  Through this effort, the foundation will provide opportunities for 100 youth in the DC/MD/VA area to annually attend a University of Maryland home football game.

The program is intended for elementary and middle school age youth who might not otherwise have such an opportunity. A primary goal of this initiative will be to inspire the youth of today to become Terrapins of Tomorrow.   The first recipients of this program will be the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy.  Area youth from this program will have an exciting day on campus while attending the Maryland-Purdue football game on Saturday.  In addition to the game, the group will take a tour of campus and hear from current Terp student athletes on the importance of balancing academics and athletics.

The Garrett A. Turner Foundation is dedicated to addressing the financial needs of various non-profit organizations through the allocation of funds and volunteer resources. Our efforts are predominately focused on higher-education, childhood development, animal conservation, and medical research. Throughout our history we have raised over 250k in charitable contributions to support the prestigious programs we are most passionate about. Mr. Turner was recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal in 2014, for his charitable contributions and volunteer efforts in the DC/MD Area.
