LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Maryland women's golf team finished second out of 14 teams at the Cardinal Cup Sunday at the University of Louisville Golf Club. Maryland earned its best finish of the fall season under head coach
Diana Cantu's leadership, as four Terrapins finished in the top 15.

"Another great performance for Virunpat," head coach
Diana Cantu said. "It was great to see her so confident and mature on the golf course. She deserves to play great because she works very hard on her game.
Overall, I am happy of how the team did at this event. We beat teams ranked ahead of us and that will help us a lot. We are a very competitive team. We just have to keep going out on the course, trusting our preparation and enjoying the competition. Three of our ladies in our starting lineup finished in the top 10, which is also very positive for our confidence. We have a quick turnaround before we head to Wilmington to finish off our fall season."
