1. The Terrapins currently rank second in the Big Ten and 13th nationally with a +1.0 turnover margin through five games. Maryland has turned the ball over just four times this season, and just 18 times over the last 17 games dating back to the start of 2017.

2. Senior running back Ty Johnson needs just 65 more yards to become the fourth player in Maryland history to record 4,000 career all-purpose yards, joining program legends Torrey Smith (5,264), LaMont Jordan (4,960) and Stefon Diggs (4,106). Johnson posted his second career kickoff return touchdown last week against Michigan (98 yards), and now has kickoff return touchdowns at both "The Big House" and "The Horseshoe."

3. Senior linebacker Tre Watson tallied 10 tackles against Michigan last weekend to maintain his Big Ten lead in tackles/g (9.8) and solo tackles/g (6.8). The fifth-year transfer from Illinois was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against Minnesota, when he totaled a game-high 11 tackles, including a sack, and returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown. He has posted at least 10 tackles in three consecutive games.
