STORYLINES

•  Maryland will play its fourth consecutive home game Friday when the Terrapins host Marshall at the XFINITY Center at 6:00 pm. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

•  Maryland is 3-2 all-time vs. Marshall, and have captured wins in the past three meetings between the two schools. Mark Turgeon is 1-0 vs. The Thundering Herd at Maryland, securing an 87-67 win the last time the teams met on December 27, 2015.

•  Bruno Fernando had 21 points, seven rebounds and four blocks as Maryland defeated Mount St. Mary's 92-77 on November 18 to remain undefeated. Fernando's 21 points tied his career-high, while his four blocks set a new career-best for the Luanda, Angola native.

•  Maryland has now started 5-0 for the fifth straight season under Head Coach Mark Turgeon. Maryland is 31-3 in the month of November under Turgeon since the 2014-15 season and 44-9 overall in November games during Turgeon's tenure.

•  Fernando made all eight of his field goal attempts for the Terps in their win over Hofstra on November 16. It was the 12th time in school history a player was perfect from the floor with at least eight attempts and the first since Sean Mosley was 8-of-8 against Longwood in 2010.

•  Bruno Fernando has established himself as one of the country's most efficient scorers this year, shooting 82.9% from the floor (34-of-41) through the opening month of the season. Fernando's 82.9% shooting clip is the top mark in the Big Ten and ranks inside the top-five nationally, while his 15.8 points per game rank inside the top-15 in the conference. Fernando shot 59.2% from the field last season – good for sixth in the B1G.

•  Forward Jalen Smith was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on November 12 after leading the Maryland to a pair of victories to open the 2018-19 season. Smith averaged 15.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 25.0 minutes of action in the wins against Delaware and Navy. Smith is the first Maryland player to claim conference freshman of the week honors in the opening week of the season since Exree Hipp in 1992.

•  Five players finished in double figures in UMD's win over NC A&T on November 12, while five players (Cowan Jr., Ayala, Morsell, Wiggins & Lindo Jr.) all finished with at least four assists. It was the first time five different Terps finished with at least four assists in a game since February 9, 2011 when Adrian Bowie, Pe'Shon Howard, Cliff Tucker, Terrell Stoglin and Haukur Palsson all had 4+ in a 106-52 win over Longwood.
