COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Each week during the 2019-20 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is senior Johannes Bergmann from men's soccer.

In victories of No. 6 Indiana and No. 24 Yale this week, Bergmann scored a pair of goals from his center  back spot and aided in two clean sheets. Against the Hoosiers, the senior tallied Maryland's third goal in a 3-0 win. It was the German's first career tally. Bergmann followed that up with an overtime winning goal against Yale in Maryland's 1-0 win over the Bulldogs on Monday night. Bergmann became the first player to earn offensive and defensive Big Ten Player of the Week honors since at least 2010.
