'MVP, MVP, MVP': What They Are Saying About Cowan's Saturday Heroics

One word described Anthony Cowan Jr. on Saturday… hero. The senior guard, back to cement his legacy in Maryland history took another step on that quest, leading the Terps to an improbable 59-58 comeback victory over Illinois. The Bowie, Md., native, who finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and six assists, hit a deep three pointer to tie the game with 19 seconds left before turning over Illinois on the ensuing possession and hitting the game winning free throw. On the call for ESPN, former coach Dan Dakich called Cowan "All-American, All-word. All-whatever you need him to be." We couldn't have said it better. Lets take a look at what the people are saying about the Terps' senior star.
Stix giving the man himself some love after the big finish… Couple Pro Terps dropped in to give Uno props… Former Nebraska Coach Tim Miles saw an S on Ant's chest... An All-American type play, that's what NBC Sports' Rob Dauster saw… Fox Sports' Andy Katz upped the anti… The Athletic's Dana O'Neil always finds the right words. "Incredible" was right on the money… "MVP, MVP, MVP" – we couldn't agree more Terp fans…
Cowan and the Terps are back in action Tuesday night at Penn State on BTN. Get your tickets now to see Anthony and the No. 4 Terps now in an upcoming home game here.
