Hartshorn led a dominant effort in the draw circle, posting nine draw controls as Maryland won that category 20-11. Junior
Lizzie Colson pitched in with six, while Giles grabbed four.

Senior
Megan Taylor was great in goal, posting 12 saves at a .500 percentage. In the Terps past three wins over Florida, Taylor has 43 saves, good for 14.3 a contest. Taylor also led Maryland in groundballs, tallying a career-high five.

Maryland started the game on fire, jumping out to an early 5-0 lead, with the five goals coming from five different scorers. Graduate student
Erica Evans ran down the lane for Maryland's first goal, before Steele, sophomore
Grace Griffin, Hartshorn and Giles all got their first. Each of the first five goal scorers got at least one more.

The Gators responded with four straight of their own, before Maryland finished the half strong, with Steele and Giles scoring two of the last three goals to lead 7-5.

The second half started the same way as the first with Maryland blitzing Florida, this time scoring six straight goals in just over seven minutes to go up 13-6. G. Griffin started the surge with a bouncer before Giles and Steele each got two more and Hartshorn got one to make for the seven goal advantage.

Junior
Hannah Warther recorded her first goal of the season midway through the second half to put Maryland up 15-8. Evans and Hartshorn got Maryland's last two goals as the Terps closed out Reese's 250
th win at Maryland.

The Maryland defense was strong, only allowing 24 shots on goal and forcing 10 Gator turnovers, with midfielders Evans and G. Griffin each recording a caused turnover, as well as senior
Shelby Mercer.

Junior
Brindi Griffin posted a career-best four groundballs and notched an assist.

Tonight's win moves Maryland to 5-0 all-time against Florida.

Next up, the Terps will take part in their second-straight top-five matchup, welcoming No. 3 North Carolina to Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
