COLLEGE PARK, Md. -  The No. 24 Maryland men's basketball team is set to face its fourth ranked opponent in its last five games as plays No. 21 Iowa in Iowa City Tuesday at 8:00 pm ET. The contest marks the final game of a challenging stretch that included 7-of-9 games away from home for the Terps. Maryland is looking to secure its fourth 20-win season in the past five years.

STORYLINES

•  Maryland is 5-3 all-time against the Hawkeyes, including a 1-1 mark all-time at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Terps were victorious, 91-73, in the last season's lone meeting as then-freshman Bruno Fernando (21 points) was one of six Maryland players to reach double-figures.

•  Maryland held then-No. 12 Purdue to 28-percent shooting from the field in an emphatic 70-56 victory Feb. 12. The result came off the heels of holding Nebraska to just 21-percent shooting. It was the first time in at least 30 years Maryland had held back-to-back conference opponents under 30-percent shooting. The Terps now rank 17th nationally in FG pct. defense (39.5).

• Sophomore Bruno Fernando's streak of seven consecutive double-doubles was snapped at Michigan Feb. 16 when he recorded 12 points and eight rebounds. It was tied for the third-longest streak in program history. Fernando's 16 double-doubles on the season are tied for sixth-most in program history and rank seventh nationally.

• Freshman Aaron Wiggins matched his career-high with 15 points against then-No. 6 Michigan on Feb. 16. Wiggins has scored at least 13 points in three games against top-10 opponents (UVA, at MSU, at MICH). He is 8-of-17 (.471) on 3-pt attempts over his last three games.

•  The Terps remain one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, ranking second in the country and first in the Big Ten Conference in rebound margin (+9.9). Bruno Fernando ranks second in the conference in rebounds/g (10.7), while Jalen Smith is fourth in offensive rebounds/g (2.75).

• Maryland's 15-point win over Nebraska on Feb. 1 marked its fourth double-digit conference road win of the season, having also defeated Rutgers (14), Minnesota (15) and Ohio State (14) by more than 10. The four such wins match the amount of double-digit victories it had in its first four seasons in the Big Ten combined.

•  Bruno Fernando was named one of 10 players to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award list (top center), becoming the first Terp to earn the honor in since its inception in 2015. Also on the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Midseason List, Fernando currently leads the Big Ten Conference (6th nationally) in field goal percentage (.661), ranks second in rebounds/g (10.7) and is third in blocks/g (1.9).

•  Terp Tendencies: Maryland has won all 19 games when leading with 5:00 to play; Maryland is 12-0 when holding opponents under 40-percent shooting; Maryland is 16-2 when Jalen Smith scores 10+ points.

•  The Terrapins boast one of the youngest lineups in the country in terms of experience, ranking 349th out of 353 teams according to KenPom.com.
