Peter Knade of the Maryland men's golf team was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team by the league's head coaches Tuesday.

This is Knade's first Big Ten honor. Senior
Timothy Colanta earned a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the second time in his career.

Knade, a native of Easton, Md., tied for ninth in the Big Ten Championships at the Philadelphia Cricket Club Sunday. He entered the third and final round Sunday tied for fifth and four strokes over par total. He shot a 75 Sunday to finish +9 overall with a score of 219 (73-71-75).

Knade picked up his fourth top 10 finish of the year and third straight top 20 finish. He led the Terrapins with his scoring average of 72.13 this season.

The Big Ten Network will air coverage of the Big Ten Championships on Tuesday, May 7 at 5 p.m. The NCAA Men's Golf Championship selection show will air on GOLF Channel's Golf Central and streamed live on the Golf Channel website on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 p.m. ET.
