GENEVA, Ohio — The women's Maryland Track and Field 4x400m relay team pieced together a fifth-place finish (3:39.63) at the Big Ten Indoor Championship this weekend at the Spire Institute.
Xahria Santiago set the tone for the team as she led off the race. Cheyenne Jones, Destiny Ward and Venida Fagan continued to pass the baton to earn the Big Ten's fifth best 4x400m relay time this season.

Santiago also notched a seventh place finish in the 400m dash finals with a time of 54.58, scoring two points for the Terps.
