Hello Terp Nation:

All of us were saddened by the abrupt end to our sports season this year. Our Men's and Women's Basketball teams were readying for the "Big Dance", and our spring sports programs were beginning with championships in sight. It will go down as the season that could have been and I'm not certain any of us will ever forget the Spring of 2020.    

At the Terrapin Club, we have also been on a roll. THANK YOU to all who have recently joined us. We attracted 131 new members on Giving Day this year and raised over $200,000 for student-athlete scholarships.     

A sharp corner has been turned and our membership numbers are dramatically on the rise. Thank you Terp Nation for your support of the Terrapin Club and the 500+ student-athletes who receive a world-class education because of you and your donations each year.

Because of you we have championships! Because of you we have legendary student-athletes, coaches and programs! Never forget that championships begin with scholarships and scholarships are born at the Terrapin Club.

Our attention right now has shifted during the worldwide health crisis. The pace of life has slowed and new perspectives have been realized. Reflections on the great past and heritage of our university and sports programs are being viewed online and Maryland memories continue to be shared. Even with our social distance, we know that we are one big Terp Nation with a passion and pride for all things Maryland. 

On behalf of myself and the entire Terrapin Club Board Board of Directors -  be safe, be well and know that we will be back! The University of Maryland will have many more moments in time!   

Together, we will continue to do great things.
