GAME 10 STORYLINES
TAULIA RISING THE RANKS
- QB Taulia Tagovailoa's 41 completions last week vs. #22 Penn State were the second-most in program history, only trailing Scott Milanovich's 46 against Florida State in 1993.
- Tagovailoa now has the third-most single season completions (239) in program history and is only 47 behind John Kaleo's record of 286 in 1992.
- Tagovailoa's 2,755 passing yards this season puts him third all-time in single season passing yards, 744 yards behind Milanovich's program record of 3,499 in 1993.
- In addition, the junior's 18 touchdown passes this season are tied for the fifth-most in program history and only one behind Scott McBrien's 19 for fourth all-time.
- In only 13 games as a Terp including last season, Tagovailoa already stands 10th all-time in career passing touchdowns with 25, only one behind Neil O'Donnell for ninth-all time, and 12th all-time in career passing yards with 3,766, only 121 behind Perry Hills for 11th all-time.
SACK CITY
- Maryland ranks 23rd in the country and fourth in the Big Ten with 26 sacks through nine games, an average of 2.89 per game.
- The 26 sacks have been for a loss of 191 yards, the 15th-most sack yards in the country and second-most in the Big Ten, trailing only Ohio State's 230.
- The Terps 26 sacks are the most through the first nine games of a season since totaling 32 in 2015.
 TAULIA TERRIFIC
- In his time as a Terp beginning in 2020, QB Taulia Tagovailoa has averaged 289.7 passing yards per game, the fifth-highest over that time span of any Power Five quarterback that has played in 2020 & 2021 and the most in the Big Ten.
- Tagovailoa, who has totaled 3,766 yards in 13 games as a Terp, trails only Virginia's Brennan Armstrong (315.2 per game), Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett (309.9 per game), Ole Miss' Matt Corral (308.6 per game) and Mississippi State's Will Rogers (293.6).
- Tagovailoa is 12th in the country and second in the Big Ten, averaging 306.1 passing yards per game this season and is on pace to set the all-time Maryland record for passing yards in a season (Scott Milanovich, 3,499 in 1993).

- DB Jakorian Bennett leads all Power Five players with 12 pass breakups this season, tied with Louisville's Kei'Trel Clark.
- In eight games played, Bennett has 10 pass breakups and two interceptions, for an average of 1.5 pass breakups per game.
- The senior has two pass deflections in each of the past two games and has four games this season with at least two pass breakups, tied for the most of any player in the country.
- Bennett's 12 pass breakups are the most through nine games by a Terp since Will Likely had 17 in 2014.Â

- CB Tarheeb Still has 16 pass breakups through only 13 games as a Terp, the most by a player over his first 13 games since Domonique Foxworth had 19 over the first 13 games of his career in 2001-02.
- As a freshman in 2020, Still led the nation in pass breakups per game, averaging two per game and eight on the season, the highest per game mark in program history.
- Still was selected to The Athletic's Freshman All-America Team, one of five defensive backs named to the team.
- The now-sophomore has eight so far this season, the second-most on the team and fifth-most in the Big Ten, and had one in six straight games from the Kent State game (9/17) to the Indiana game (10/30).
RICHIGULOUS
- TE Chigoziem Okonkwo recorded 12 receptions for 85 yards in last week's game vs. Penn State, the second-highest reception total ever by a Maryland tight end, only trailing Frank Wycheck's 14 vs. Virginia Tech in 1990.
- It was also the most by any Maryland player since DJ Moore vs. Northwestern in 2017.
- Okonkwo's 85 receiving yards are the most in a game by a Maryland tight end since Matt Furstenberg recorded 104 against Clemson in 2011.Â
