SOLOMON EYE TERP OF THE WEEK: Fatts Russell

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland men's basketball guard Fatts Russell has been named Solomon Eye Terp of the Week after leading the Terrapins to a victory over No. 20 Florida Sunday in Brooklyn.

Russell earned Hall of Fame Invitational Most Valuable Player honors for his efforts in the victory, scoring 15 of his 19 points in the second half.

The Philadelphia native connected on all three of his 3-point attempts (all in the second half) and scored the go-ahead "and-1" in the final minute of the game.

The victory marked Maryland's first non-conference victory against a ranked opponent since 2014, as interim head coach Danny Manning picked up his first victory at Maryland in the new role.

The Terrapins have a two week break for final exams and the holidays before returning to action Dec. 28 when they host Loyola (Md.).
