COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's basketball team welcomes #24 Purdue to XFINITY Center Tuesday evening as it begins the second half of its Big Ten Conference slate. Maryland is 3-2 all-time against Purdue in College Park, including back-to-back wins the last two seasons.

HISTORY MADE
- The Terps made history at Minnesota when it became the first team in program history to collect three road victories against ranked teams. Maryland has won at No. 6 Wisconsin, at No. 12 Illinois and at No. 16 Minnesota. The Terrapins are 5-2 in their last seven games in such scenarios, after previously losing 27 consecutive dating back to 2008.

Maryland held Minnesota to 49 points and 30.4-percent shooting Saturday afternoon. It was the second-lowest point total for a Big Ten opponent since the Terps joined the league in 2014-15 (at Nebraska, 60-45, 2/16/19). It was also the lowest shooting percentage in a conference game for an opponent since the same Nebraska game (.211).

The Terrapins narrowly fell to the Boilermakers, 73-70, on Christmas Day after climbing back from a 13-point first half deficit. Sophomore Donta Scott led the Terps with 15 points, including a game-tying bucket with 58-seconds to play.

- Maryland is 8-0 when it wins the rebounding battle this season. Dating back to last year, it has won 17 consecutive games in which it has won the rebounding battle. The last loss came at Wisconsin on Jan. 15, 2020.

With Purdue jumping into the AP rankings this week, it marks Maryland's eighth ranked opponent in its last 10 games - the most in a 10-game stretch in program history. The Terps have played the fourth-toughest schedule in the country according to the NCAA's NET rankings. Of Maryland's first 11 Big Ten games, nine were against ranked teams.
