COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Fresh off winning three games in four days, the Maryland men's basketball team hits the road to face Rutgers at the RAC Sunday afternoon at 3 pm. The Terrapins recently defeated Minnesota Feb. 14 and then Nebraska on back-to-back nights - all by eight points or more.

RUTGERS STORYLINES
TAKING ON THE NATION'S TOUGHEST
- According to the NCAA's NET ranking system, Maryland has played the 7th-toughest schedule in the country. To date, the Terrapins have played a nation-high 14 "Quad 1" games, and will play their 15th tonight against Rutgers.
DEVASTATING DEFENSE

The Maryland defense has not allowed an opponent to score more than 61 points in six of its last eight games. Over its last eight games, Maryland's opponents are averaging 59.8 points on 37.4-percent shooting, including 31.7-percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
SERIES HISTORY

Maryland is 11-5 all-time against Rutgers in a series that dates back to its inaugural meeting in 1940. The Terps are 3-1 at the RAC since both teams joined the Big Ten in 2014-15. Maryland and Rutgers opened Big Ten play on Dec. 14, when Rutgers overcame a halftime deficit to pull away for the win. Sophomore Donta Scott had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead the Terps in that game.

- Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year candidate Darryl Morsell (1003) became the 56th player in Maryland history to score 1,000 career points against Nebraska on Feb. 17. In the same game, he made his 100th career start, becoming the 19th player in program history to achieve the feat. Since the start of the 2019-20 season, the Terrapins are 21-2 when Morsell reaches double-figures.
WIGGINS FOR tHE WIN

Junior Aaron Wiggins has scored at least 17 points in six of his last seven games, including back-to-back 20-point performances against Nebraska this week. During the seven-game span, Wiggins is averaging 16.4 points on 42-percent shooting and 6.1 rebounds. He has also scored 17+ points in eight consecutive home games.
